Hayley Huxtable

Senior OT | Director

BSc(HumBiol), MOccTher(Curtin)

Born and raised in Perth, Hayley has dedicated over 15 years to supporting children in reaching their full potential. Her passion for Paediatric Occupational Therapy began during her final placement in South Africa, where she witnessed firsthand the profound impact therapy can have on children, even with limited resources. This experience inspired her lifelong commitment to empowering children to thrive in their academic and everyday lives. Outside of her work as an Occupational Therapist, Hayley is a busy mother to three young children, balancing her passion for helping others with the joys of family life.

Education and Expertise

Hayley graduated from Curtin University with a Master of Occupational Therapy in 2008. Since then, she has specialized in assessing and supporting school-aged children who face challenges in their everyday lives. Her expertise lies in identifying barriers to learning and development, and implementing targeted intervention strategies to enhance performance, confidence, and independence. Her holistic approach also considers the need for additional support services, collaborating seamlessly with Educators, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Paediatricians and other professionals.

The Vision Behind iThrive OT & Speech

In 2016, Hayley and her husband Matt founded iThrive with a vision to create a welcoming and client-centered clinic where children and their families feel at home. Their goal was to build a space that fosters growth, learning, and genuine connection. Hayley is passionate about empowering parents to be active participants in their child’s therapy journey, believing that meaningful change is best achieved through collaboration. Under her leadership, iThrive has grown into a thriving team of dedicated Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists who share her commitment to empathy, connection, and presence.
